Our

RESOURCE page

To help our traveling nurses move quickly and easily, our resource page is a great place to remain up to date on licenses, certificates, and new skills. FHG can alert you when it’s time to update your credentials. Please take a look at our helpful reference, which we have developed for healthcare professionals.

OBTAINING RN LICENSE ACROSS STATES

The ability to work and travel more widely is made possible by obtaining RN licensing in several states. Taking the initiative to plan target locations and apply for a nursing license in those states may take some effort, but it will be well worth it. It’s conceivable that the assignment will be lost if you wait to obtain a license after spotting a desired place. A month or more may pass before an application is processed in states with better paying assignments, such as California and New York. Please take note that FHG does not pay out for costs like transcripts, CEUs, or related license verifications. Licenses aren’t handled by FHG.

ENHANCED NURSE LICENSURE COMPACT (eNLC) STATES

Any nurse who resides in one of the 30 participating compact states may practice nursing in any other state that is a member of the alliance, thanks to the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.A nurse needs to show proof of residency in a compact state to work there. Both a valid, current RN license in that state and a government-issued ID with a real street address must be shown. No license is required for this nurse in any of the other compact states that are participants.

WALK-THROUGH STATES FOR TRAVEL NURSING LICENSURE

Walkthrough states allow a nurse to be issued a temporary state nursing license within one hour to one day’s time. This temporary travel nursing license is used to practice nursing while awaiting permanent licensure to be processed. Please contact your recruiter for licensure requirements and details.

OTHER STATES (LICENSURE BY ENDORSEMENT)

These states have various requirements and are neither a Compact nor a Walk-Through state. If you are working with Frontline and have a Recruiter, please contact him or her for more details.
